10 Poorest Cities In North Dakota For 2024

It is no secret that, universally, these are troubling times in the kingdom. We’re all working 40+ hours a week, barely getting by. We do our best, but some of us are struggling to get ahead more than others.

Some North Dakota cities have fallen on hard times.

A study was done, and it found some North Dakota cities that have an above average percentage of people who live in poverty, who are out of work, or who are not making as much money as they should be, given inflation and other factors.

The source looked at 27 cities in North Dakota with more than 2000 people, and put together a list of the top 10 poorest cities in North Dakota.

Keep in mind, this is not an attack on the people in the cities or any kind of commentary on the places themselves. This is just a study that looked at financial statistics such as,  median income, homelessness, and population. 

No matter what cities are listed/ranked here, they are all rich in my eyes. Our North Dakota culture, values, arts and traditions make us rich, no matter what this report says.

The source ranked all 27 cities from 1 to 27, with one being the poorest. This report has been updated for 2024.
