18 Year Old’s Birthday Party Leads to Father’s Arrest [VIDEO]

As a parent, you always want your kids to have the most memorable birthday party possible... but wouldn't you think most parents would stop short of allowing something illegal to happen in their own house?

One California father finds himself in jail after allowing his daughter to have a "Playboy Mansion" themed party at his house, which included party goers in lingerie and underage drinking. It was estimated that 150-200 people came to the party, all of them under the legal drinking age and some under the age of 18.

Police were alerted to the party when neighbors called to complain about the noise coming from the house. When officers arrived and saw what was happening, they arrested the father under the state's social host ordinance. This make is illegal to host a party where underage drinking is taking place. The father could see up to 6 months jail time if convicted.

As a father of 2 girls, this story confuses me beyond belief. 1) Why would any father not only allow, but encourage, his daughter to prance around in lingerie in front of that many people and 2) Why would you knowingly allow underage drinking to happen under your own roof? I get that kids will do what kids want to do... but openly allowing it to happen is just a ticking time bomb that's going to blow up!
