A shooting at a factory in Lincoln County, just outside of Sioux Falls, SD left 2 people dead and two people with injuries.

Authorities said Jeffrey Dezeeuw, 52, of Sioux Falls, was the apparent shooter and he apparently took his own life later in the day Thursday. According to reports, police  found what they suspect is the gunman’s body near a burned-out semi-tractor a short distance from the plant.

The fatality is identified as Jon Richter, 45, of Lennox.  Kathy Steever, 46, also of Lennox, was shot and is in critical condition, while Brian Roesler, 45, of Marion, was  assaulted.

At a press conference Friday morning, Sheriff Dennis Johnson said  that Richter was the target of the shooting. It is believed that the two had a dispute over working conditions.

The shooting took place about 2 PM Thursday at Sioux Steel facility, located about 20 miles from Sioux Falls.

The companies Facebook page offered condolences.
