It's that time of year. A partial list of nominees for the 2015 Grammy Awards were announced on Friday morning (Dec. 5), and right from the jump, it looks like Beyonce, Sam Smith and Pharrell Williams are in the running for the coveted trophy.

Sam Smith, who had a phenomenal year with his tender ballad 'Stay With Me,' grabbed nods in music categories for Best Solo Pop Performance, Best Pop Vocal Album (for 'In the Lonely Hour') and Record of the Year for the Darkchild (Rodney Jerkins)-produced version of 'Stay With Me.'

Beyonce's self-titled album garnered a mention in the Best Urban Contemporary Album field along with Jhene Aiko's 'Sail Out,' Chris Brown's 'X,' Pharrell's 'G I R L' and Mali Music's 'Mali Is.' The latter took to Twitter to share his excitement for the nomination. "Blown Away. #ItsOnlyTheBeginning #Grammys2015 #malimusic #MaliIs #GreatCompany #Honored," he tweeted.

Speaking of Pharrell, who was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday, the producer also nabbed a nomination for Best Solo Pop Performance for 'Happy.'

"Grammys. What an honor this morning! [Thank you] for the Best Urban Contemporary album nod, along [with] Best Pop Solo Performance nom. Humbled...Thank you," he said on Twitter.

Elsewhere, Iggy Azalea received a Record of the Year nomination for 'Fancy' with Charli XCX. The Aussie rapper also grabbed a nod in the Best Rap Album category for her debut effort, 'The New Classic,' and Best New Artist.

"Amazing thank you Grammys," she tweeted to her followers.

Nominations will be doled out throughout the day so stay locked to the Boombox for more info.

The 2015 Grammy Awards will air live from Los Angeles on CBS at 9PM ET on Feb. 8, 2015.
