Though there was a bit of rain early in the day, Saturday turned out to be perfect for the 2016 St. Alexius Kickball Tournament at the Clem Kelly Softball Complex in Bismarck.

40 teams came together for the tournament, which is held annually to help raise money for the NICU at St. Alexius.

Teams were encouraged to dress up for the event, as a costume contest was held with prizes courtesy of Bruno's Pizza and others. Some of our favorites included the team of Aquamen (and women), the old people, and the superheroes.

This year's S.A.K.T. ambassador, Gracyn Holzer, was also on hand for the duration of the event. Every year, an ambassador is chosen who has first-hand experience with the St. Alexius NICU. When Gracyn was born, she weighed just one pound ten ounces. She ended up spending 70 days in the St. A's NICU.

Check out all of the pictures in the gallery above and plan on being a part of the S.A.K.T. festivities in 2017!
