The annual Polar Plunge will take place at the Elks Lodge in Bismarck next Saturday (February 16th) to help support Special Olympics of North Dakota.

The Elks Lodge parking lot will be the spot for the event as teams and individuals need to raise a minimum of $75 to partake in the cause. Creative costumes are encouraged to be worn by participating 'polar plungers'.

There will be several awards given out throughout the event, such as most money raised by a team, most money raised by an individual, most money raised by a business, most money raised by a law enforcement team, best costume, youngest plunger, and whitest legs.

The Elks Lodge is located at 900 S. Washington St. in south Bismarck.

Other polar plunges supporting Special Olympics of North Dakota are also scheduled for Fargo, Grand Forks (next week), as well as Minot and Dickinson (both in March).
