A few years ago, there were no Dollar Generals in North Dakota, and two years ago, they opened their first discount store in Hankinson, ND. Since then, DG has opened up another 11 stores in the state and has plans to open another 8 locations.

Dollar General is known through out the country as a discount store giant, selling everything from toiletries, to snacks and food to hardware all at discounted prices. Think of it as a Family Dollar store. Dollar General is not a Wal-Mart, but is located in 44 states with over 14,000 stores, and that is more locations than Wal-Mart and has added at least 1,000 stores across the country in the last few years.

Don't be surprised if a Dollar General opens up a location near you.
