Bismarck Bobcats Mourn Loss of Former Coach

It is with a heavy heart that we report that former Bismarck Bobcats coach Chad Johnson passed away last night, at the age of 43.

According to a press release put out by the Bobcats:

Chad was the coach of the Bobcats starting in 2001 and led the Bobcats to back-to-back Bourne Cup Championships in his tenure with the Bobcats before moving to the FM Jets in 2004.  Chad was also an assistant coach with the Fargo Force before becoming the Head Coach of the Lincoln Stars, a position from which he resigned just prior to this season.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Chad's family and friends.

UPDATE 1:44pm: Fargo Police say Chad Johnson of Fargo died Monday night after being hit by a train in an industrial area of Fargo.
