The Wichita Falls Wildcats are one step closer to winning the Robertson Cup after defeating Bismarck 5-2 to wrap up the series and end the Bobcats season.

The Bobcats found themselves in a hole almost immediately, falling down 2-1 at the end of the first period. Their only goal during the first 20 minutes came from 'Downtown' Willie Brown.

In the second period, it was more of the same, with the Wildcats adding two more goals to take a 4-2 lead heading into the final period. They were able to tack on one more goal in the third to take the 5-2 win and the 2-0 series.

At the end of regulation, the Bobcats players embraced on the ice, bringing a fantastic, Central Division-winning season to an end:

Up next for Wichita Falls, it's a meeting with the Fairbanks Ice Dogs Sunday afternoon, May 15th, at 1 p.m.

Congratulations, Bobcats, on another fantastic season. We can't wait to see what you'll accomplish next year!
