The Alaskan road trip wasn't exactly kind to the Bismarck Bobcats.

After dropping two last weekend to Fairbanks, the Bobcats hoped to bounce back this weekend against Kenai River. Instead, the Bobcats picked up a win Friday night and a loss Saturday night.

The Bobcats cruised to a 4-1 win over the Brown Bears on Friday, led by goalie Alex Bitsakis, who turned away 23 of 24 shots on goal. The Bobcats that scored included Logan Rivard, Evan Giesler, Matt Perry, and Cullen Willox.

Unfortunately, the Bobcats couldn't keep that momentum going on Saturday, as they dropped the second game against Kenai River 5-2. The Bobcats were able to keep it close through the first two periods, but gave up three third period goals in the loss.

The Bobcats return to Bismarck this Friday night when they welcome the Austin Bruins to the VFW Sports Center. The puck drops at 7:15pm.
