The Jamestown Sun is reporting a Bismarck man lost his life in a motorcycle crash Saturday.

The 54-year-old Bismarck man died when his motorcycle hit a semi-tractor truck on U.S. 83, south of Sterling according to North Dakota State Police. The accident took place around 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

The Bismarck man was driving a 2016 Victory motorcycle and was traveling south on the highway. The driver of the semi-truck was a Williston man, and was traveling north on U.S. 83.

The motorcycle crossed the center line and hit the front side of the tractor-trailer.

The motorcyclist died at the scene. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
