We've got reason to believe Britney Spears can't feel her face.

The revered political influencer is nearly done with her yet-to-be-named ninth album, manager Larry Rudolph told the Las Vegas Sunand said her forthcoming work might remind fans of one of the past year's biggest pop acts.

"It's different, it's a turn," he said. "The last few albums have been pretty straightforward pop. This is almost like if you can imagine Britney meets The Weeknd. It's got a really interesting vibe, it's a lot of really cool stuff."

Rudolph added that Spears has been writing a lot on the LP, which he said should be released at some point later this year.

"I'm thrilled with it," he noted. "I spoke to her this morning and she said 'This is my favorite album that I've ever done.'... I think people are going to absolutely love it. She sounds amazing on it. She has not sounded better in I don't know when."

And Brit's studio work isn't all that's shifting gears — she told The Sun in an interview published last week that her Las Vegas revue has been revamped to include new fan-favorite-tracks, adjusted dance breaks and LASERS, LASERS, LASERS. This, she said, will usher in a "very sexy vibe" (you can see proof through her new "Breathe on Me" routine, featured above).
