The tragic passing of Carrie Fisher took an even more heartbreaking turn with the subsequent death of mother Debbie Reynolds, but the heartfelt work of either will at least receive an HBO spotlight in the future. The network will air an encore of Fisher’s adapted stage show Wishful Drinking on Sunday, while a future Fisher-Reynolds special remains on track for 2017.

Per HBO, the Emmy-nominated 2010 special (which itself is available on HBO GO) will garner a special airing on Sunday, January 1 from 9:00 P.M. to 10:20 P.M. Fisher had reportedly been planning a sequel to the stage show, while HBO’s synopsis reads:

Debuting in 2010, this feature-length adaptation of the Hollywood icon’s hit autobiographical stage production tells the intoxicating tale of her life, combining her raucous one-woman stage performance, interviews with family and friends, and archival footage. Produced and directed by World of Wonder’s Randy Barbato and Fenton Bailey, the special received two Primetime Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Special.

Additionally, HBO has yet to set a formal date to premiere documentary Bright Lights: Starring Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher, described by Variety as “a chronicle of the extraordinary bond that mother and daughter forged over six decades in the unrelenting glare of showbiz’s spotlight.” According to HBO Documentary Films president Sheila Nevins, “HBO will carefully consider the appropriate timing given the tragic developments.”
