This title might seem confusing given the two athletes mentioned play different sports. But make no mistake, Carson Wentz would love to see LeBron James play for the Philadelphia 76ers.

Now that the NBA Finals have come to a close with the Golden State Warriors sweeping the Cleveland Cavaliers, the NBA offseason talk will most likely be dominated by LeBron James' pending free agency. No one knows where he may end up when the start of the 2018-2019 NBA season begins. However, Carson Wentz has made it clear that he would welcome James coming to Philadelphia to play for the 76ers.

During Philadelphia Eagles minicamp, Wentz was asked by reporters about the idea of James playing in Philly. Here's what the quarterback had to say:

Absolutely...I hope [James] is coming. [Zach] Ertz and I were there the other night and unfortunately he lost and everything. I didn't really care who won that game. But seeing him live, we decided to make it a recruiting trip.

A player of Wentz's caliber and star power could certainly carry a significant weight in certain instances, even if the two athletes are in different leagues. If nothing else, it'll certainly grab James' attention. Wentz would surely love nothing more to do what he can to help benefit the city of Philadelphia and their sports teams besides just the Eagles.

James has had one of the most decorated careers in NBA history and teams will be throwing crazy offers at him throughout the offseason. Should he end up in Philadelphia, he'd be playing with a nucleus of young talent with All-Stars like Joel Embid and Ben Simmons.

The 76ers made the postseason this year for the first time since 2011-2012. They could put a further dent into the NBA Playoffs should LeBron James end up joining their roster. Who knows? It's definitely a possibility.
