It looks like we could see Carson Wentz start for the Philadelphia Eagles as early as next week after the Minnesota Vikings traded for Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford.

It's been a whirlwind of a day for football fans. First, the Minnesota Vikings announced that they had traded for Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford after Teddy Bridgewater's devastating knee injury. Now, it's expected that our hometown hero, Carson Wentz, could be the new starter for Philly.

According to a tweet from ESPN's Adam Caplan, Wentz is expected to start in the Eagles' games against the Browns on September 11th.

Caplan does mention that this all depends on Wentz's health. As you remember, Wentz injured his ribs in the Eagles first preseason game.

Although it hasn't been officially confirmed, the thought of seeing Bismarck's Wentz start in the Eagles season opener is very exciting!
