Despite being sidelined with an injured wrist for much of his senior season, Carson Wentz will start at quarterback Saturday, January 9th, for the North Dakota State Bison when they take on Jacksonville State for the FCS championship.

Bison head coach Chris Klieman made the announcement during the team's press conference on Friday, January 8th, according to InForum.

Wentz has been out of action since mid-October, after injuring his wrist in a game against the University of South Dakota.

Freshman Easton Stick filled in for Wentz under center and led the Bison to an 8-0 record and a fifth straight trip to the FCS championship game in Frisco, Texas.

This will be Wentz's final game in a Bison uniform, as the senior will graduate and is expected to be one of the top quarterback's selected in this year's NFL Draft.
