It's been a hot minute since we've heard anything new from "London Queen" Charli XCX, whose 2014 "Boom Clap"-featuring sophomore studio album, Sucker, solidified her as a pop force here in the States. Fortunately for Charli's Angels, she's ready to shift back into high gear this Friday, when the artist's Vroom Vroom EP is scheduled to release.

A demo for the EP's titular track was actually leaked back in late 2015, but the official audio premiered today online. Produced by English hot-ticket pop producer SOPHIE ("When I Rule the World," "Hey QT"), the wonky, high-octane electro-pop jam offers listeners some insight into the direction of Charli's new material. The artist shared on Instagram, "This is a prelude to my 3rd album coming later this year."

In addition to the forthcoming EP, the "Break the Rules" singer also announced that she's been hard at work crafting her own label, Vroom Vroom Recordings. Describing the imprint as a "new experimental pop label," Charli's upcoming EP will actually be released through Vroom Vroom Recordings on February 26. According to a press release, the four-track EP will include songs called "Trophy," "Secret (Shh)," and "Paradise," the latter featuring London electro-pop artist Hannah Diamond.

Other artists currently signed to Charli's label include electronic duo RIVRS and indie/folktronica singer-songwriter Cuckoolander. You can hear music previews from the two signees in the Vroom Vroom Recordings Soundcloud playlist above.

Charli's as-yet-untitled third studio album is due out later this year. Until then, the artist is confirmed to play two shows at SXSW: Hype Machine Showcase at Hype Hotel (March 17) and The Sound Exchange Show at Stubbs (March 18).
