North Dakota has finicky weather, we all know that, but even we were astonished to see just how drastic a change there was between October 2013 and 2014.

If you remember around this time last year, Bismarck-Mandan was covered with a fresh coat of powdery snow, much to the chagrin of many North Dakotans. We reached a high of 40 degrees during the day and dipped to a frigid 24 degrees that night.

Fast forward one year later, we're enjoying near-record temperatures of 80 degrees (the record is 84 degrees, set back in 1927), with the low set to reach a balmy 50 degrees. That's 10 degrees above the high from last year.

With Old Man Winter's menacing deathgrip just around the corner, we'll take all the nice weather we can get!
