Another Bismarck Bobcats alum is headed to the NHL, after the Dallas Stars made forward Roope Hintz the 49th pick in this year's NHL Draft.

Hintz becomes the first Bobcats alum since 2001 to be taken in the NHL Draft, when the New Jersey Devils selected James Massen 194th overall, according to BismarckBobcats.com.

Hintz had a very short stint with the Bobcats, spending part of the 2012-13 season with the team, before returning to Finland to play for his hometown team.

Hintz spent last season with Ilves, in Finland. He played in 42 games, netting five goals and twelves assists.
