Dalton Feeney Goes Undrafted In First Ten Rounds of MLB Draft
The first two days of the MLB Draft have come and gone and, unfortunately, Century Patriots star Dalton Feeney didn't hear his name called.
[UPDATE 6/11]: The Detroit Tigers drafted Feeney in the 40th round.
Feeney, the Gatorade North Dakota Baseball Player of the Year, has already committed to play baseball next year at the University of Missouri. So, going undrafted wasn't the worst thing in the world, as many thought he was 'virtually unsignable' out of high school, according to MLB.com.
Feeney can now go to MIZZOU, get a few seasons under his belt, and reenter the MLB Draft, where he'll most certainly be a top draft pick.
Feeney was hoping to follow in the footsteps of fellow Century Patriots star Carson Wentz, who was drafted second overall by the Philadelphia Eagles earlier this year.
