The National Weather Service is once again using the term DANGEROUS in order to make the point - temperatures will be in the life-threatening range for the area Friday night into Saturday morning.

NWS has issued a Wind Chill Warning for a portion of the state including the communities of Bismarck, Mandan, Minot, Jamestown, Fort Yates, Linton and Garrison. The southeast portion of the state is the only area of the state not included in a hazardous weather watch or warning.

Wind chill values will drop to MINUS 35 degrees. Frost bite and hypothermia can take place in a very short time in these dangerous temperatures.

The public is urged to check on livestock, the elderly and pets.

If you're hoping for relief from the cold, the forecast is calling for 30 degree temperatures for much of this area Thursday into next weekend.
