Friday nights episode of Dateline NBC will feature a murder for hire case that has ties with North Dakota.

The James Henrickson murder for hire case covers the country. The case started in the Pacific Northwest and ends up in the oil fields of the Bakken. According to reports, Henrickson was operating a trucking company with his girlfriend in 2011 in the oil patch in Western portion of the state. The two got married in 2013 in Minot.

His wife was unaware Henrickson was also had an other interest on the side including  operating mob-style hits, and one of those hits included his wife. She found out the news about her husband from the sheriff at the time.

Henrikson, has been convicted of successfully plotting the death of a former employee and paying the same hit man to kill another business associate.
