Ellen Page came out on Valentine's Day and the actress, who shows off her tight, taut tummy on her June 2014 Flare cover, admitted that it has made all the difference. But it wasn't easy for her to reveal her sexual orientation, since she expected a lot of hate and backlash.

"I feel more creatively inspired than I have in years," the star said. "And I’m sure it has to do with a lot of bricks being taken out of the backpack."

Amen, sister!

Page expected there to be backlash to her big reveal, saying, "I expected so much more hate. It was just remarkably positive, which is beautiful, because it's indicative of the change that’s happening."

Even so, she received an anything but positive reaction from a man of the cloth about a month after her coming out.

Page was boarding a plane when a man approached her, revealing he was a pastor. She then received his handwritten note two hours into the flight. She expected it to be a show of support. Instead, it was "the worst kind of homophobia, because it wasn’t just ‘You deserve to burn in hell.’ It was ‘While God thinks it’s lovely that you stood up for your beliefs, perhaps you’ve never had the loving arms of a father.'"

He signed it creepily as "Your Heavenly Daddy." Weird, right?

She didn't write back. She tweeted. It's posted below.

Page confirmed she is single. She won't discuss exes but she is "always happy to talk about being gay." She did express disappointment at her industry's double standard, saying, "You hear things like, ‘People shouldn’t know about your life because you’re creating an illusion onscreen.’ But I don’t see other actresses going to great lengths to hide their heterosexuality. That’s an unfair double standard."
