On June 25th, the North Dakota Petroleum Council and its member companies will host an event in Tioga to celebrate the state's oil production reaching an average of 1 million barrels a day.According to The Bismarck Tribune, the event, entitled "One Million Barrels, One Million Thanks", is being held in appreciation of the state and its residents for their support and patience along the way.

"One Million Barrels, One Million Thanks" will include an air show, featuring World War II-era plans and a keynote speech from North Dakota Governor Jack Dalrymple.

The celebration will take place from 10am to 3pm at Neset Consulting Service on the north edge of Tioga. The event is free and open to the public.
