The Fargo Police Department is in mourning. A 6 year veteran from the department was shot over night during a stand off. The police chief said his wounds are fatal.

The officers name is Officer Jason Moszer, 33. Deputy Chief Joe Anderson, a Fargo police spokesman, said at 4 a.m. he did not know if Moszer had died, but said “he won’t pull through.”

The stand off began over night as a domestic argument.

The only other officer to die in the line of duty in Fargo was Frederick D. Alderman on July 5, 1882. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Fargo Police Department and the Moszer family.
