AOL Travel has put together a list of the best, and most representative, restaurants from each capital city.

Bismarck is rapidly growing bringing in lots of new restaurants and hot spots to hang out and grab a bite to eat. AOL, however, picked some of our more historical restaurants as the top to visit while in Bismarck.

  • Peacock Alley

Peacock Alley is located in the historical Patterson building, downtown Bismarck.

Peacock Alley specializes in a wide variety of beef. They also carry other delicious menu items including fresh seafood and chicken. Don't forget about their award winning martinis!

  • Kroll's Diner

    'Sit down and eat!'

Kroll's is a 1950s-style restaurant famous for their German and American dishes.

Possibly the most ordered item is their delicious knoephla soup. Kroll's is one of the only places you can still get hand-scooped shakes and malts. Be sure to stop in for 2-4-1 shakes every Monday!
