It's a Friday night and you're itching to hear some good, live music in Bismarck-Mandan. Where do you go? Hopefully, this list will point you in the right direction.
While Bismarck-Mandan may not be the live music mecca that Nashville is, that doesn't mean we don't have our fair share of awesome venues.

Rock Point - Mandan
While Rock Point is relatively new to the area, occupying the former Captain Freddy's building in Mandan, it has quickly become one of the go-to places for live music in Bismarck-Mandan.
Whether you're looking for rock, rap, or country, there's a good chance you'll find it at Rock Point sooner or later. Just recently, Rock Point has hosted rockers Texas Hippie Coalition, rappers Nappy Roots, and Tom Petty tribute band Free Fallin'. In the coming weeks, they'll also host bands like Buckcherry and Parmalee, to name a few.

Laughing Sun Brewing Co. - Bismarck
While some places only have live music a few select nights of the week, downtown Bismarck's Laughing Sun Brewing Co. does it nearly every night of the week.
Local favorites like Jennifer Lyn, the McMahon Brothers, and the Frog Holler String Band all frequent Laughing Sun.
Oh, and did we mention they have an awesome selection of beer that is brewed right in downtown Bismarck? Well, they do.

Broken Oar - Mandan
Joining Rock Point on the Missouri River is Mandan's Broken Oar, which features live music throughout the year, though the best time to go is when the weather is nice enough to enjoy the deck. It's easily one of the best, if not the best, in Bismarck-Mandan.
All Aces, Rift, and Unleashed are just a few of the bands you'll find rockin' 'The Oar' throughout the year.

Burnt Creek Bar & Grill - Bismarck
On the outskirts of north Bismarck, you'll find Burnt Creek, another venue that has live music nearly every weekend.
Similar to the Broken Oar, Burnt Creek hosts Bismarck-Mandan favorites like All Aces and the Cody Charles Band, along with regional favorites like Judd Hoos.

The Lonesome Dove - Mandan
If you're in the mood for some honkey tonk, Mandan's Lonesome Dove, located on Memorial Highway, is the bar for you.
Strap on your cowboy boots and go see local favorites like EZ Street at 'The Dove.' If you're lucky, you'll even get to ride the famous bull!
