In a move that almost guarantees him realizing his NFL dreams, former Bismarck High and UND star Weston Dressler has been released by the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League.

Dressler was set to become a free agent on February 15th and has already worked out for at least one NFL team: the Kansas City Chiefs.

Being released from his contract today means that Dressler can sign with an NFL team immediately.

In his six CFL seasons, Dressler caught 442 passes for 6,536 yards and 43 touchdowns. He also led the team to the Grey Cup this past season.
