Fun Times, Tons of Candy During a 4th of July Tradition in Mandan [PHOTOS]

With Chris Reed and DJ 3NZ0 taking over the station today for the 4th of July Hot Mix, I decided to take the day and hang out in Mandan for the 4th of July Parade and all the festivities that go along with it!

The day started bright and early as I met Marlo, one of the organizers of the parade, at 7:20am in Mandan. Once the Mandan Police Department started closing down streets at 7:45am, I took my spot on the parade route to play some music to get the day started and encourage the participants of the 5k road race.

While out there, plenty of characters came through to take photos with anyone and everyone that wanted one. From the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to Elsa and Belle, all of them were willing to stop for a minute for a picture and smile.

Just before the parade started at 10am, I left my post on the route and headed back to the Mandan Rodeo Grounds to get in line with the rest of the participants in the parade. While we were waiting, I walked around and snapped a few photos of the floats and groups as we were staged and waiting.

I had a blast seeing all of you along the route, and am sorry I didn't get to throw my candy out to you (well... at least half of you... I was throwing candy till I was scolded by parade officials to stop)
