The Super Bowl has evolved into a national holiday, with people gathering around their TVs to watch the commercials as much as they watch the game itself. There were several entertaining ads this year, but the commercial for Dodge, 'God Made a Farmer', particularly resonated with this community. As North Dakotans, we all know about the hard work and sacrifice it takes to be a farmer...the never-ending days, scorching summers, and bitterly cold winters, which Paul Harvey so eloquently portrayed during the nearly two-minute commercial.

Getting up at the crack of dawn to clean chicken coops, hauling bales in the blistering summer sun, and spending countless hours raising and caring for our animals has shaped me into the person I am today. That strong work ethic is just one of the many things I love about our farmers.

What did you think of the 'God Made a Farmer' Super Bowl commercial? Best of the year?
