With the controversy of who is and who is not attending President Elect Donald Trump's inauguration ceremony, it is confirmed that North Dakota's newly elected governor will be in attendance.

According to the Governor's Office, North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum will attend Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration on Friday, Jan. 20 in Washington, DC. It also states that the Governor paid for his own way and will be bringing the first lady.

The governor and First Lady Kathryn Helgaas Burgum left on Tuesday and will return next week.

The one thing both the governor and newly elected president have in common is both are outsiders taking on the establishment and both are very successful businessmen.

Also in attendance from North Dakota will be U.S. Rep. Kevin Cramer and Sens. John Hoeven and Heidi Heitkamp.
