An eight year old girl from Grand Forks has a chili recipe that is worthy of being served at the White House.

Stella Halverson was a winner in this year's Healthy Lunch Challenge which is an initiative between Michelle Obama, a PBS affiliate in Boston and other government agencies invite kids aged 8-12 along with help from a parent or guardian to create an original lunch recipe that is healthy, affordable and tasty.

Halverson's recipe is a 'Red Potato Boat with 3 Bean Bison Chili.' A recipe for this lunch will soon be available on the PBS website.

One winner is chosen from each state along with other U.S. territories including Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Guam.

Halverson will join all the other winners at the White House on July 14 for a 'Kids State Dinner' hosted by Michelle Obama.
