A new family-friendly event is set to take Fort Lincoln by storm for three days in July! The Great Western Exposition will be a truly memorable event showcasing the military history of Fort Lincoln and North Dakota, and it's got something for everyone!

From July 11-13, the Exposition will offer a variety of activities for the whole family to enjoy, the pinnacle event being a military appreciation ceremony featuring the West River Winds, followed by a concert by Fargo's own 32 Below on Saturday evening.

Admission for the three-day event is just $15, children 12 and under are free. There is a special military discount for all active and non-active military and their families for $10. Price covers admission to all three days of the event. You can purchase advance tickets here.

Friday, July 11 (gates open at 12pm):

  • 12:00pm - 5:00pm: Custer House visits, Frontier Military Camp exploration, shop ND arts, crafts, and food vendors, various kids' activities (inflatables, pony rescue, animal shelter, face painting)
  • 1:00pm: Kid's program "Become a Soldier in Custer's 7th" (Encampment)
  • 2:30pm: Meet & Greet with Mrs. Custer + Story Time with Mrs. Custer (Custer House Porch)
  • 5:00pm: Close of Day

Saturday, July 12 (gates open at 10am):

  • 10:00am - 5:00pm: various kids' activities
  • 1:00pm: Frontier Military Artillery Demonstrations
  • 1:00pm - 3:00pm: Wagon rides
  • 1:00pm - 4:00pm: Visit with the ND National Guard, Take a ride and visit the ND Veterans Cemetery
  • 4:30pm: Family Community Picnic, free will donation benefiting the ND National Guard Foundation (Commissary)
  • 5:30pm: Military Appreciation Ceremony, performance by West River Winds
  • 8:00pm -11:00pm: 32 Below Concert (Main Stage)
