Ever wonder what it was like growing up in rural North Dakota in the 1930s and 40s? Just watch this video!

The video comes to us courtesy of YouTuber Scott Foster and features residents of Oakes, North Dakota.

Oakes was founded in 1886 and, at the time of the 2010 census, there were less than 2,000 people living there.

While we're not entirely sure how many people were living in Oakes at the time of this video, it's probably safe to assume it was a whole lot less than 2,000.
