High Wind Warning for Area

The National Weather Service has issued a HIGH WIND WARNING for most of the area. Winds gusty up to 60 MPH are expected Sunday afternoon through Monday.

The timing of this event is late afternoon Sunday through Monday. The warning area includes

• Bismarck
• Mandan
• Jamestown
• New Salem
• Fort Yates
• Minot
• Dickenson
• Steele

Winds more than 60 MPH are expected late Sunday and will decrease Sunday evening. Monday, winds are expected to be 40-45 MPH.

These strong gusty winds will effect high profile vehicle in open areas.

Residents are strongly urged to secure yard and outside furniture.
