Houston Man’s Proposal Could Result in Jail Time
Vidal Valladares, of Houston, Texas, made one young woman very happy on Tuesday (Dec 15) -- and a freeway full of drivers, as well as Houston authorities, very angry.
Valladares literally stopped traffic, when he proposed to his girlfriend by blocking off Interstate 45 "amid a cacophony of angry shouts and truck and car horns," according to KX News.
Valladares faces charges of obstructing a roadway, which is a class B misdemeanor that could come with a six-month jail sentence and a $2,000 fine.
But Valladares, who could not be reached for comment, may find it all worth it -- girlfriend Michelle Wycoff is now his fiancee.
