Are you sick of companies randomly sending you unnecessary texts?

You may have read about my recent trip back to Bismarck (and if you didn't, click the link), I was hit up a couple of times with SMS texts from companies that I randomly received. Rather than ignore and immediately delete said texts, I decided to attempt to start a real conversation.

The key is to pick a current event that happened. The Sunday Night Football game I refer to in the above text was the Chiefs/Broncos game that occurred just the night before. Apparently, these Sears guys are Broncos fans.

Or go ahead and make it a political discussion.

I have to hand it to them, they did like most people should do when you engage them with political discussion, and shut up.

So, there you go. If you get a spam SMS message from a business, there's nothing wrong with attempting a conversation with them.
