Hundreds Gather at Bismarck’s Heritage Center for Veterans Day Cermony

Sprynczynatyk, and representatives for ND Senators John Hoeven and Heidi Heitkamp paid tribute to our nation's heroes. Col. Giselle M. Wilz, ND National Guard Chief of Staff and Commander of the 141st Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, was the guest speaker and gave a moving personal account of what inspired her to enlist in the military.
After the placement of wreaths, the sounding of 11 bells, rifle salute and Taps, attendees were invited to observe the globe at the All Veterans Memorial, where the sun shone on the state of North Dakota on the globe at 11:00 on the 11th day of the 11th month.
