This morning, I finally was able to get out and do the one thing that I always look forward to doing in the summer... Hitting the golf course!

One of my father's favorite quotes about golf was always "Golf is a good walk, spoiled." I always disagreed with it. I love golfing, even if I'm not playing well. It really is a calm time for me. It's almost impossible to be angry on a golf course. It's meditation time for me.

This summer has been insane for me. My bosses here at the station have had me out at so many events that I haven't had a lot of free time. The free time I have had, I've spent with my kids. Finally, I had to take some time for myself this morning.

Woke up extra early so that I could be done before I had to be here to be on the air at 1pm. (I'm also happy that I did because it's gonna get up into the 90's this afternoon!) Dew still lined most of the course. The chirping of the birds as the woke up, jack rabbits bouncing through the trees, and the distinct 'ting' of driver hitting ball.

If anyone wants to join me next time, just let me know. I would love to find some new golf buddies out here.
