Hey, Superman’s not dead!

Whoops, that was a dream sequence, he is dead. My bad.

And then there’s another dream, and this one is Batman’s so it’s super dark. It’s the end of the world. And only the assembled members of the Justice League (minus Superman, who’s totally dead and not coming back) can save us all. The newest trailer for Justice League does give Henry Cavill a brief cameo, but he’s otherwise absent from this trailer. Instead you’ll see plenty of Ben Affleck’s Batman, Jason Momoa’s Aquaman, and of course Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman in action, beating up wave after wave of evil invaders.

Here’s the official synopsis:

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

The best part of this trailer is Aquaman at the end landing on the Batmobile and going “YEAHYUH!” like he’s “Macho Man” Randy Savage. Why does he talk like that? Is that an Atlantis thing? All I know is that has to become a meme. It has to. Life makes no sense if it doesn’t.

Justice League opens in theaters on November 17.
