Kanye West is reportedly recovering well after suffering a breakdown a couple of weeks ago that landed him in the hospital for eight days.

TMZ reports that sources close to the rapper say that he's had a temporary recording studio built inside of his Bel-Air mansion and has been recording as music ideas come to him. While rumors swirl about the status of his relationship with Kim Kardashian, with sources reportedly claiming they are headed for divorce, other sources say that Kanye is comparing his recent experience to when he landed in the hospital following a terrible car wreck and ultimately recorded "Through the Wire" through a wired jaw. He's also comparing his mental breakdown to his mother, Donda West's, unexpected death, which led him to record 808's & Heartbreak.

Ye's breakdown was reportedly due to fatigue, stress and his failure to take prescribed medications to deal with his mental health issues. He's reportedly back on the medications and might even have a full album's worth of material to release. Earlier in the year, he'd hinted at a collaborative project with Drake and Kid Cudi has also been very supportive following Kanye's hospital stay, as well as his own, so maybe something grow from that.

In other good Kanye news, he's up for eight Grammys this year, leading the pack along with Rihanna, Drake and Beyoncé for his last album, The Life of Pablo.  Kanye’s eight nominations makes him the second-most nominated male artist in Grammy history, with 68. Only legendary producer Quincy Jones has more, with 79.
