Kinderprint 2014 Draws Bismarck-Mandan Families Out for a Good Cause
Kinderprint 2014 is in the books! From 10-1 on Saturday (May 3), parents brought their children to all three Northwest Tire locations around Bismarck-Mandan to have their children's vital information collected in case of an emergency.
The Burleigh County Sheriff Department, Bismarck Police Department, and Mandan Police Department were all on-hand to collect the following information for each child:
- Name
- Hair Color
- Eye Color
- Height
- Weight
- Scars and visible marks
- Address
- Contact number(s)
- Parents’ names
- Fingerprints
- Current photo
- DNA sample packet
Those that came out were treated to free pizza and pop, as well as balloons and the chance to win a free bicycle!
The National Missing Children’s Locate Center stresses the importance of each child having an ID. ID’s are crucial in finding a missing child as many parents panic and do not remember necessary details to give police.
The KinderPrint program was created to help parents give police accurate information in case a child ever goes missing.
