Leighton Meester, late of 'Gossip Girl,' will be heading to Broadway.

The actress and singer is joining actor and jack-of-all-trades James Franco and Chris O'Dowd, who appeared as Kristen Wiig's love interest in 'Bridesmaids,' for a new Broadway adaptation of the classic tale 'Of Mice and Men.'

It's the first new 'Of Mice and Men' production in four decades and it's also Meester's debut on The Great White Way. It will be staged at the Longacre Theatre and kicks off in March, according to Celebuzz.

Meester has nabbed the role of the wife of a ranch boss who catches the eye of one of the main characters, Lennie, who is mentally challenged.

It's certainly a fresh and modern cast for a beloved story, so it should be interesting to see how these actors do in this production. We're excited.

Meester is on both a professional and personal high, with this new gig and her engagement to boyfriend Adam Brody, late of 'The O.C.'
