If you expected drastic shifts in Logan Paul's YouTube content following a scandal in which he appeared to make light of suicide, well, you clearly don't know the video-maker well.

Paul, who spent a month in the dark after receiving flak for uploading a clip from Japan's Aokigahara forest (the area is notorious for drawing people who are considering ending their lives), has since tried to correct his misstep, and has even vowed to donate $1 million to suicide prevention efforts. Still, with a new clip uploaded Sunday (February 4), Paul proved he's not completely abandoning the irreverence that first garnered him a massive fanbase.

"It's something I'm going to try to not ignore — I can't ignore it — and so I'm not gonna pretend like that didn't happen," he said of the controversy in the new video. "I'm caught in this weird balance where I feel like people don't expect me to be funny anymore, but, dog, yo, one thing I did learn out of all of this, no matter how much hate or comments from random strangers who I've never even seen or heard from in my life...it's noise to me. I will never, ever, ever forget who I am at my core, and no one can make me think I'm something otherwise."

Paul appeared in his first television interview following the Aokigahara forest controversy in a Good Morning America interview on February 1, during which he said he regrets not taking the time to consider the impact of his project.

"I will think twice in the future about what I post, probably three times," he said, noting that the video in question represented a "horrible lapse of judgment."

"But at the same time. It's not like I'm a bad guy. I'm a good guy who made a bad decision," he added.
