Ludacris and Ciara are set to host the 2016 Billboard Music Awards! The two Atlanta-bred superstars are slated to share the stage; this is Luda’s third year in a row hosting the awards but the first time he’ll be joined with  CiCi.

The 2016 Billboard Music Awards will be held May 22, 2016 at T-Mobile’s new arena in Las Vegas and airing live at 8pm ET on ABC. We reported a few weeks ago that Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande would christen the brand new theater in April with their headlining performances.

Speaking on their friendship and upcoming hosting gig, Luda said: "It is my honor to host the Billboard Music Awards for the third year and a pleasure to host with my good friend Ciara," Ludacris said in a statement. "I'm looking forward to another great show in a new and exciting venue."

"The Billboard Music Awards is one of best awards shows to honor chart success. My great friend Ludacris and I have also shared songs together on the Billboard chart," added Ciara. "I look forward to sharing the stage with him on this special night. It will definitely be a night to remember!"

The Billboard Music Awards will pick finalists across six categories and announce the finalists on ABC’s Good Morning America as a prelude to the remaining categories, which will be announced on BMA’s Facebook and Periscope accounts. The selection process happened during a reporting period of data that was based on fan interaction, digital/album song sales, radio airplay, tours and social media engagement.
