Madison Applegate Wins Kidd Kraddick's Big Break Contest

It's with no small amount of happiness that we crowned Madison Applegate the winner of our Big Break contest today. The 16-year-old singer was beyond excited when she found out she won.

Madison made it to the final round last week, along with three other strong candidates. Her reaction to winning was priceless.

"Oh my God, I'm in shock right now," said Madison. "Thank you for giving me this opportunity, thank you to everyone who voted and all the support I got, this is insane."

As the winner, the Ballwin, MO native will get a professionally-produced music video and single -- the perfect thing to put a burgeoning musician on the map.

She'll fly out to the Kidd Kraddick studios next week for some intense training before her music video is shot. Madison will also spend some quality time with world-class vocal coach Linda Septien of the Septien Entertainment Group.
