Mandan Police Search for Missing Sex Offender

The Mandan Police Department is searching for a missing sex offender.

According to a bulletin released by the department, James Louis Green, 45, is wanted for failure to register as a sex offender.

Green was convicted in Washington state in 1996 with the first-degree rape of an 11-year-old girl.

He is 5-feet-10-inches tall and weighs 185 pounds. Green has brown eyes and blondish, gray hair.

The police department listed the following as vehicles he may be driving:

• 1997 Ford Explorer, grey in color ND#KCE101
• 1998 Pontiac Sunfire, red in color ND#KLG377
• 1989 Ford Mustang, red in color ND#KLV422
• 2005 Chev Malibu Maxx LT, black in color ND#JRN219
• A burgundy Ford Explorer with L&J Motors placard or no plate at all
