Have you ever heard that famous old expression "Crime Does Not Pay?"

Well, in this case, it could end up paying off someone who may have led Mandan Police in quickly putting behind bars four suspects in the Saturday early morning burglary of Moe's Smoke Shop here in Mandan. While most of us were sleeping around 12:15 am this past Saturday, a couple of individuals were seen scouring inside Moe's taking everything they could- this was within seconds after they heaved a couple of huge rocks through the front glass door. Now, this wasn't in the back or at a place off the main drag, this was within like 10-15 yards away from Memorial Highway. The long short of things the thieves got away with an estimated 5-10 thousand dollars worth of merchandise.

Owner Moe Wazwaz quickly offered up a $5,000 reward for any information leading up to an arrest

I think this is key, by the way, after the robbery, Moe's owner offered up a $5,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest of anyone responsible for the burglary. After I posted my article just yesterday, a woman called our business office last night and left a voice mail message - "Hi I seen an article you guys posted about reward for a reward for. For information, who broke into most smoke shops last night? I came across some people trying to sell some vape pens and they said headed themselves that they did it last night. So if you give me a call back my number is__________"    I obviously forwarded this to the Mandan Police Department this morning - check out what took place - according to kxnet.com "Mandan police have arrested three juveniles and their 38-year-old mother after reports of a burglary at Moe’s Smoke Shop on the 3900 block of Memorial Highway in Mandan around 12:15 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29"   - Investigation is ongoing in this case.

Quick work by the Mandan Police

No word of IF anyone will get the reward. Moe's is due to open its doors for business in early December.
