If you're a fan of Miley Cyrus the pop star -- not just the TV star -- we've got good news for you! The erstwhile 'Hannah Montana' starlet is going back to her bubblegum, danceable roots on her new record, working with Dr. Luke -- the man behind 'Party in the U.S.A.!'

Cyrus confirmed the news during her guest appearance on 'The Tonight Show' with Jay Leno (via MileyOnline). Dr. Luke isn't the only megaproducer Cyrus will be working alongside on her followup to 'Can't Be Tamed.' The future Mrs. Liam Hemsworth is also collaborating with Pharrell Williams, Hit-Boy (who's worked with Kanye West) and Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins (who's made hits for Britney Spears and Lady Gaga).

“I’ve been writing and working on my record, I've been in so many sessions,” Cyrus said at the iHeart Radio Festival. “Just kind of bunkering down and working really hard and perfecting everything. I've never really had time to do that, to kind of have my record kind of ‘done’ and then sit there and make it until it’s perfect. So, it’s been really, really fun,” she added. “This whole year that’s all I've really dedicated life to.”

As for when we'll hear the songs? Soon, she promises. “By the end of this year we’ll have a single out,” Cyrus assured. “Right now I’m just kind of meeting with labels and enjoying making the record I want to make before there gets be too many people involved saying their vision,” she noted. “I just want to make sure it’s exactly what I want first.”

If she works with Dr. Luke, chances are it will be what the fans want, too.
