Suspended running back Adrian Peterson is expected to return to the Minnesota Vikings next season, according to the team's general manager.

While speaking with the media at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis Wednesday, Vikings general manager Rick Spielman stated that he expected Peterson to be a part of the football team next season, according to InForum.

Spielman became the latest member of the Vikings front office that stated that Peterson would be welcomed back, after both team president Mark Wilf and COO Kevin Warren said the same thing in recent weeks.

Peterson is currently serving a suspension, after he pleaded no contest to misdemeanor reckless injury, after disciplining his 4-year old son with a switch.

Peterson is scheduled to make nearly $13 million next season with the Vikings.
